Scopus Resource Center
New central resource: Elsevier has launched the Scopus Resource Center on its website, bringing Scopus guidance and supporting materials together in one location.
Purpose: The center is intended to make it easier for librarians, researchers and other institutional users to find information about Scopus and use the abstract and citation database more effectively.
Planned expansion: Elsevier plans to add further content, webinars and events as the Resource Center develops.
Localisation: The Resource Center will also be translated to make its content more accessible to users in different regions.

Library Connect Resources
Library community: Library Connect provides articles, professional insights and community resources intended to help librarians respond to changes in research and scholarly communication.
Current themes: Recent resources address research integrity, pressures affecting academic libraries, the growing role of AI and the changing support researchers require from libraries.
Research Integrity at Scale
Emerging concern: The increasing sophistication of paper mills and coordinated manipulation can make it difficult for conventional editorial controls to identify unreliable research.
Journal audit: An 18-month audit examined more than 40,000 articles published in Heliyon as part of efforts supporting Web of Science’s re-evaluation of the journal.
Learning opportunity: Elsevier’s related article discusses lessons from the audit and the measures needed to protect research integrity at scale.
Ithaka S+R US Library Survey
Sector under pressure: The 2025 Ithaka S+R US Library Survey indicates that libraries are experiencing increased pressure across several areas.
Institutional resilience: Despite these difficulties, libraries are adapting their services and, in some cases, continuing to grow and strengthen their institutional roles.
Future priorities: The related Library Connect article explores the priorities and challenges that library leaders expect to address over the next three years, including AI and research integrity.
Supporting the Future of Research
Changing research environment: Research is becoming increasingly supported by artificial intelligence, conducted across institutional and national boundaries, and organised around interdisciplinary problems.
Role of librarians: Librarians are helping researchers succeed by providing reliable information resources, discovery support, research guidance and services adapted to new working practices.
Librarian of the Future
Global study: Elsevier surveyed more than 1,000 librarians across 88 countries to understand how they expect their profession to change.
Issues examined: The research considers emerging opportunities, major professional challenges and the future relationship among libraries, researchers and institutions.
Headline findings: Initial findings identify important trends shaping library services and research support as AI, collaboration and institutional expectations continue to evolve.
Full report: Interested readers can review the headline findings and register to receive notification when the complete report is published.
Impact Starts with Librarians
Recognition initiative: Elsevier is sharing stories that highlight how librarians advance knowledge, support institutional objectives and enable success within their communities.
Nominations: Institutions and individuals can nominate librarians whose work has made a notable impact.
Overall objective: The initiative seeks to increase recognition of the essential contribution librarians make to research, education and institutional development.
