Compliance with Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
Any violation of copyright rules will invite disciplinary action in addition to legal consequences.
Copyright Compliance
All Learning Centre (LC) users must comply with prevailing IPR and copyright regulations while using any Learning Centre resources issued, accessed, or downloaded.
Under the IRRO License Agreement, users may photocopy up to 15% of a publication or one full chapter per year, whichever is greater. Photocopying of an entire publication or “cover-to-cover” reproduction is strictly prohibited.
Electronic Resources @ IIM Indore Learning Centre
The Learning Centre at IIM Indore licenses a wide range of electronic resources to support the Institute’s teaching, learning, and research activities.
Access to these resources is governed by institutional license agreements with publishers and consortia. All members of the IIM Indore community are expected to use these resources responsibly and in accordance with applicable copyright laws and licensing terms.
Prohibited Uses
- You may not share licensed resources with anyone outside the IIM Indore community.
- You may not engage in systematic, robotic, or substantial downloading, printing, or copying of content.
- You may not redistribute, sell, or republish licensed content to external individuals or platforms.
- You may not upload or post copyrighted material on personal websites, blogs, or public forums.

- Copied
- Distributed
- Displayed
- Published
- Performed
Without prior permission from the copyright holder, except where permitted under fair use provisions or license agreements.
This policy also applies to DVDs, CDs, and other multimedia content available through the Learning Centre.
Licensing Restrictions
Access to electronic resources is restricted to the IIM Indore community and is intended solely for academic purposes such as research, teaching, and private study.
Use of these resources for commercial purposes, or any unauthorized distribution or large-scale downloading, is strictly prohibited under the license agreements.
